Lala Kent is the new girl on Vanderpump Rules and she’s bringing the sexy, the sass and the edge. Check out our interview with Lala below.
Heavy: Scheana made a very harsh statement to you about sexual favors with your mouth on the second episode of the season. What is your reaction to that?
LALA: Watching it now, it gives me a good laugh. I wish I could be one of those girls, that does sexual favors for cool shit. I’d be iced up, driving a Rolls Royce. Sadly, I can only hook up with people I am fully interested in, and those dudes are usually broke. But, just so everyone knows, if I’m keeping my legs closed, then I am most definitely keeping my mouth closed.
Heavy: When you revealed you were going to Europe to Katie and Scheana, there were some comments and accusations made about models getting flown from America to Europe. How do you feel about what they said to you?
LALA: Stupid thing to say. (She laughs.) American models are brought to Europe all the time for bookings. Obviously she wouldn’t know that.
Heavy: Tell me a little about where you’re from and how you grew up.
LALA: I’m from Salt Lake City. It’s a very religious driven state, which I never got used to. I grew up in a very open home. We talked about literally everything- we still do, which sometimes my dad is like, okay I don’t need to know EVERYTHING! My family is extremely close. I don’t have family in Utah except for immediate family so it is kind of like “we all we got!”.
Heavy: What made you decide to dive into the drama-packed cast of Vanderpump Rules?
LALA: That is a really good question. Only an insane person would be down for this, right?! So, I guess I’m a little insane and I wear that with pride! (She laughs.) I have loved every minute of the journey and getting to know some of the cast members.
Heavy: Your fashion and wardrobe is awesome. What’s your go-to style?
LALA: My go-to is usually something that shows a lot of skin. I can’t help it! I love anything tight and cropped with an over-sized jacket, just so it isn’t too much. I usually plan my outfit around my shoes.
Heavy: Tell me about the relationship you have with James Kennedy. You post the cutest photos together on Instagram.
LALA: He is someone I care about, deeply. No matter what goes down, we will always be friends. Our personalities just mesh.

Heavy: There’s a point this season where you get into an altercation with Kristen Doute. Can you tell me about that at all?
LALA: Pshhhh NEXT! … I have no feelings toward her. She is just there, breathing my air.
Heavy: Who are some of the cast members you feel like you’ve really clicked with? Who are you closest with?
LALA: Obviously James is one of them, and my fellow new-comer, Faith Stowers. And of course I would never leave out Ariana and Tom! Don’t get me started on Ariana. I love that chick. That right there is a bad bitch. Scheana has been dope, too. I like her a lot, a lot!
Heavy: As a working model, what projects have you been involved with recently? Ever get into acting?
LALA: Because of my height I only do print work. I’ve worked on anything from Nike to Comedy Central. David Spade is a close friend of mine, so he involves me in some of his fun projects. Acting was never something I was truly passionate about. I’ve done a little here and there, but nothing dope.
Heavy: Okay, in a game of Marry Shag Kill, use the cast members from the show.
LALA: I would marry Ariana, shag Scheana, and I would never kill anyone.
Heavy: You appear in Tom Sandoval’s new music video. How was that?
LALA: Amazing! He and Isaac Kappy, are such a talented duo. I was so grateful that they even thought of me to appear in their music video. We had a great time.
Heavy: Are you a fan of Sandoval’s music?
LALA: I’m a huge fan! I’ll support his music all day, everyday.

Heavy: What’s a typical day like for you?
LALA: I’m usually on a booking. I try to fill my schedule with work. I like being busy. If I do have a free day, I wake up and walk with my roommate, Dani Shae (who also appears on Vanderpump Rules) and my baby girl (my dog), Lilly, to get breakfast. That’s always a for sure thing. Other than that, I just see where the wind takes us.
Heavy: How has life changed for you since joining the show?
LALA: People have started recognizing me and wanting to take pictures or get autographs. I’m obviously not used to that but its been unbelievably amazing. I’m so thankful for the Lala supporters. I have definitely developed more of a “I don’t give a fuck” attitude, though because of how mean some people have been on my social media accounts. I have stopped looking at comments. Haters are fans, which we like those! So, I just let them bump gums and act bold behind their screens.
Heavy: Your cast members have described you as “bold.” Give me one word to describe each person: Yourself, Scheana, Katie, Stassi, Jax, Ariana, James, Lisa, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz.
LALA: Lala, baddest. Scheana, sisterly. Katie, soft. Stassi, blonde. Jax, clown. Ariana, unreal. James, crazy Lisa, Bo$$. Sandoval, dope. Schwartz, goof.
Heavy: Scheana and her husband seem to have some major issues going on this season. Any input there?
LALA: I take marriage seriously. My parents have been together for 35 years, through thick and thin. I haven’t ever been married, but I still hold that title sacred. Their marriage isn’t something I have any input on. I just hope everything works out and they stick together through all the ups and downs. I love them together.
Heavy: What are you looking forward to watching on the show this season?
LALA: Ahhhhh there are too many moments that I can’t wait for! Whether I am on the show or not, I now know that the Vanderpump Rules addiction is real. I can’t wait for Monday’s!
