On tonight’s episode of The Profit, star Marcus Lemonis returns to the Standard Burger in Staten Island, New York to find the business partners at each others’ throats. Lemonis has to decide if the business is worth saving.
The Standard Burger offers specialty burgers in addition to custom build-your-own burgers. They also have a shake bar and a potato bar. The potato bar has house-made potato chips, three kinds of fries and baked potatoes with tons of toppings. Check out the full menu below.
When Lemonis first helped out Standard Burger, he gave them $400,000 to improve their business. Lemonis is dissatisfied with some of the clutter that has been added to the restaurant and sees that some of the prices have changed. When he goes into the kitchen, he hears tons of compliments about how the restaurant is being run. He is also pleasantly surprised to see the kitchen exceptionally cleaned. One issue, however, is that they are disorganized and mixed up a couple orders.
On The Profit, it’s revealed that one of the owners (Joe T.) fired a long-time employee named Nikki over the phone, but the real issue is he was having an affair with her. Lemonis sympathizes with the the girl’s father. When Nikki shows up, she reveals she dated Joe T. off and on. She even shows Lemonis their text messages and revealed that Joe T. had a girlfriend while they were dating.
