It's unclear at this time if Season 3 of The Leftovers is going to happen. The show would have to be renewed by HBO. Although ratings haven't been that great, which isn't surprising considering that it went against powerhouse The Walking Dead every Sunday night, the show is still doing well overall. Reviews for the show, both critical reviews by professionals and reviews by viewers, have been across the board amazing. HBO is known for not basing its renewal decisions solely on whether or not a show has great ratings. Often, HBO will renew a show that's critically acclaimed due to its quality.
