The Leftovers has always been a story of faith vs science, similar to what we loved about Lost. Garvey was a man of science, not even wanting to admit there could be reality behind his visions of Patti. But at the end, he took a huge leap of faith and drank poison so he could "battle" Patti in the spiritual world. The next episode, 'International Assassins,' showed him in the other world, battling to be free from this entity that had latched onto him. Now Kevin is somehow back from the dead just as a bunch of forces are coming together -- good vs evil -- for the finale. Damon Lindelof has a wonderful way of pulling everything together, but will it be enough for a renewal by HBO? (Twitter/HBOPR)
