'The Voice' Results 2015 - Top 9 Contestants

On tonight's episode of The Voice, the results for the top 9 winning contestants were revealed live and we've got the full recap as the show airs. Tonight's performers, aside from the contestants, where Sia and R. City with Adam Levine, who opened the show. To kick things off, Levine performed the song "Locked Away" with R. City. Then, the remaining contestants came out on stage to receive some of tonight's results. Amy Vachal was asked about the connections she has with her fellow contestants and Zach Seabaugh was asked what he hopes to prove to America. Zach said he likes to have fun on stage, but that there's a deeper side to him and his music. After talking to the two of them, Daly announced the first safe contestant to be from Team Blake Shelton and it was Emily Ann Roberts. The second person announced as moving on in the competition was Jordan Smith from Team Adam Levine. Smith's girlfriend and mother cheered him on from the crowd.


After a commercial break and a chat with the judges, Carson Daly asked Madi Davis and Barrett Baber about what they've learned on the show thus far. Davis talked about how coach Pharrell has taught her how to grow and Baber talked about believing in yourself. Soon after, Daly revealed the next safe contestant, who was from Team Gwen Stefani, and that contestant was Jeffery Austin. Next, was Barrett Baber from Team Blake. After a short break, contestant Braiden Sunshine talked about how grateful he is to be on the show and how thankful he is for his supporters. He also thanked coach Gwen Stefani. Shelby Brown then talked about her emotional performance from last night, which was dedicated to her grandfather. Following Sunshine and Brown's responses to host Carson Daly's questions, he announced two more safe contestants. Madi Davis from Team Pharrell Williams was revealed as being saved and then Amy Vachal from Team Adam Levine was also announced as safe. Following another commercial break, music artist Sia performed with a half white and half black wig along with a gigantic black bow on her head. Then, the rest of the contestants were gathered on stage to find out their fates. Korin Bukowski talked about the message she hopes to bring to her fans before Daly revealed the news that the safe contestant was Zach Seabaugh from Team Blake Shelton. Shortly after, Shelby Brown was revealed to be moving on to the top 9 as well. This left Braiden Sunshine and Korin Bukowski to battle it out for the Instant Save. When giving her "Instant Save" performance, Bukowski had a rough time when she fumbled the lyrics. Her coach Gwen Stefani immediately came to her aid with support, talking about how deep and passionate Bukowski is. Directly after, Bukowski's fellow teammate Braiden Sunshine performed the song "Harder To Breathe" by judge Adam Levine's band Maroon 5. After the performance, Levine joked that Sunshine had very good taste in music. In the end, the contestant who made it into the top 9 was Braiden Sunshine though the votes were extremely close.
