David Bowie passed away after an 18-month battle with cancer and left behind his wife, Iman, and two children: Alexandria ‘Lexi’ Zahra Jones and film producer Duncan Jones. Bowie was very close to his two children and they will miss him terribly.

1. Duncan Jones Is a Film Producer Who Directed the Award-Winning Movie ‘Moon’

Duncan Jones seems to have inherited his father’s creative genius, becoming famous and acclaimed in his own right. Duncan directed and wrote the highly acclaimed and popular movie Moon. The movie has a unique twist in it, so not much can be written about its plot without giving the movie away. Jones is now directing the upcoming fantasy epic Warcraft and is working on a new sci-fi movie, Mute, that will star Paul Rudd and Alexander Skarsgard, The Verge reported. Mute is a sci-fi thriller set in Berlin that follows a bartender as he looks for his missing friend.


2. Duncan Was Born to Bowie And Bowie’s First Wife Angela

Duncan Jones was born on May 30, 1971 to David Bowie and Bowie’s first wife, Angela Barnett. He was born in London and Bowie’s song “Kooks” was inspired by his birth. He was nine when Bowie and Barnett divorced, and Bowie was granted custody of his son.


3. Alexandria Was Born to David Bowie and His Wife Iman

Alexandria ‘Lexi’ Zahra Jones is the only daughter of David Bowie and his wife Iman Abdulmajid. She was born in 2000, nearly 22 years after Iman had her half-sister, Zulekha Haywood, with former pro basketball player Spencer Haywood. Alexandria’s birth brought Bowie and Iman closer together, Hello! Magazine reported. Iman said: “We’ve always been very close, but if it’s possible we’ve been drawn even closer. There’s a joy or a contentment that’s almost palpable to both of us.”


4. She Was Considered Their Miracle Baby

Bowie and Iman considered Alexandria to be their miracle baby. They had tried IVF to get pregnant but were unsuccessful, People reported. They had given up and were considering adoption when Iman found out that she was pregnant.
