If you’re mourning David Bowie’s death, then you’re probably looking for other fans who feel the same way. There are a number of events and tributes for David Bowie fans in Texas. Here are just a few. Of course, check with the venue before attending to make sure plans are still on track for the tribute event.

Dallas

  • Oak Cliff’s Texas theatre will be showing The Man Who Fell to Earth at 9 pm on Friday, January 15, Guidelive reported. An informal Bowie listening party will take place after the credits.
  • The Granada Theater is hosting a “Remembering Bowie” tribute party on Wednesday, January 13. Thin White Dukes, a local Bowie tribute band, will perform and they will also show a screening of Labyrinth. Doors open at 7 pm. (TicketFly)

Alamo Drafthouse Celebration in Dallas and Austin

Alamo Drafthouse is hitting it out of the park in Dallas and Austin with a Bowie tribute event on Saturday. They will be showing videos and possibly having a singalong for fans starting at 9:30 pm. You’ll want to contact your local Alamo Drafthouse for details, as most of the current tributes are sold out, in case they add more.

Alamo Drafthouse is also hosting a Rolling Roadshow at Austin Music Hall this Saturday, January 16, at 8 pm. Called “God And Man: A David Bowie Tribute,” the event will features Super Creeps, the premier David Bowie tribute band. It will also include an encore of Alamo Drafthouse’s David Bowie Music Video Party. (EventBrite)

El Paso

In El Paso, Bowie Feathers is hosting a David Bowie Tribute Night on Friday, January 15 with LawyerLady/Doctor Woman and DJ Rene Romo. It starts at 9 pm and is free. (TicketFly)
