Contestant Lauren Bushnell is one of the 28 women competing for the love of Ben Higgins on season 20 of The Bachelor. She comes from a stable home and her faith is very important to her, just as it is for Bachelor star Higgins. For all the details on Bushnell, her time on the show and a giant spoiler, read on below.
1. And the Winner Is …

According to Reality Steve, Bushnell is the winner of The Bachelor 2016 and Higgins gets down on one knee. The two are engaged. She was down to the final two opposite JoJo Fletcher, who is a Dallas native. Fletcher is a successful real estate agent with her own company and her brother Ben Patton was actually featured on Eva Longoria’s dating show Ready For Love, according to Wetpaint. Bushnell, on the other hand, hails originally from Portland, Oregon and comes from a family with two brothers and a sister. In addition, her parents have been together for well over two decades.
2. Distance May Be an Issue For Bushnell and Higgins
Bushnell works as a flight attendant for Alaskan Airlines, so she has to travel a lot for her job. In addition, she lives in Marina del Rey, California while Higgins hails from Denver, Colorado. Plus, Bushnell prefers the warm weather, which is not always the case in Denver. Bushnell told ABC about her weather preference, stating:
Warm! I love the sunshine. I especially love dusk (favorite time of day) and hot nights are so amazing.
So, could the distance and traveling work against the couple or will Bushnell slow down her lifestyle a bit for the man she loves?
3. She Was Arrested Last Year
Though Bushnell is a good Christian girl, she has been arrested. This past April 2015, she was arrested for public intoxication. It’s not like she robbed anyone or committed a serious crime and everyone makes mistakes. Plus, Bushnell loves going out with her girlfriends and posts photos of her outings all over Instagram.

If you remember Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman, she ended up getting engaged to contestant Josh Murray on the show. Unfortunately, their union didn’t last and Murray was later linked to a girl named Anna Von Staehle. Anna Von Staehle and Lauren Bushnell attended college together and were friends. Murray and Staehle have since split and Murray released the following statement to E! News:
Anna and I only dated for a short time and I think she is a great person but ultimately we weren’t for each other. I wish her nothing but the best.
5. Bushnell “Wears Her Heart On Her Sleeve”

Lauren Bushnell comes from a family filled with love and when it comes to her own heart, she tells ABC:
I love love. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I communicate through verbal and physical cues. When I love someone, there is never a question about how much because I will constantly show you and tell.
Bushnell also adds that family is extremely important and that marriage means starting her own family in the future.
