Celine Dion’s husband Rene Angelil has died after a long battle with throat cancer and he leaves behind three children with Dion as well as three children from previous relationships. For many years, Angelil was Dion’s manager, but he stepped down from the role after his health became a priority. As manager to one of the biggest stars in the world, you become a success yourself. Celine Dion has an estimated net worth of $630 million, while husband Angelil has $400 million as well. So, what do they do with all this money? 1. Angelil Was a Professional Poker Player

In addition to managing a roster of music artists in his day and directing the television show, Star Academie, Angelil was also a professional poker player. He has even qualified for the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions. On Kathy Griffin’s “Tired Hooker” tour, she joked about how Angelil is always gambling away the couple’s money in Las Vegas so his wife constantly has to turn out concerts with a residency. Clearly, they have more than enough money to spare.
2. For a Decade, Dion Was the Highest Grossing Entertainer In the World

From 2000 and 2010, Celebrity Net Worth reports that Celine Dion was the highest grossing entertainer across the globe. Between concert ticket sales, record sales, merchandise and additional sources of income, Dion’s empire actually grossed over $720 million. Of that sum, $500 million came from global ticket sales. And, of that $500 million, an estimated $350 million came from just her Las Vegas show. Dion has a residency contract through 2019.
3. The Couple Has Several Homes
In 2013, Dion and her husband put $100 million worth of their homes on the market to sell. According to CNBC, Dion’s Florida compound on Jupiter Island was listed for $72 million, which made it one of the most expensive listings in Florida. It was a 5.7-acre property with a 10,000-square-foot main house, and several other buildings totaling an additional estimated 10,000 square feet. Check it out in the above video.
The couple also accepted an offer for their private-island estate near Montreal. The listing price was $28.2 million.

4. Dion Has a Chain of Restaurants Called Nickels Restaurants

Nickels Delicatessen and Nickels Grill & Bar are some of the restaurants included in Dion’s small yet successful restaurant chain in Canada. The restaurants feature Montreal-style smoked meats, breakfasts to hamburgers, milkshakes, pizza, chicken, ribs, salads and sandwiches. Click here to check out all the 32 locations.
In 1997, Dion disassociated herself from the brand. Nickels is now part of the Resto Pro Group which includes eateries Baton Rouge, FireGrill Steakhouses and Vinnie Gambini’s Italian Restaurants. Dion and her husband also own Schwartz’s Restaurant.
5. Angelil and Dion Own Several Businesses

In addition to restaurants, Angelil and Dion have their hands in several other companies. The couple owns Le Mirage Golf Club and also a night club called Pure, which is located at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Dion also has a line of fragrances in addition to other merchandise.
Together the couple owns an artist management company based in Laval, Québec, Canada, which is called Les Productions Feeling Inc.
