Presently, the top 24 contestants on American Idol 2016 are performing in hopes of making it through to the next round of the competition. Last week, half of the top 24 found out their fates. Tonight, the rest of the group learns if they are moving on in the competition or packing their bags. Each of the performers has the privilege of carrying out a duet with past winners and contestants from the show, who mentor them a bit in their journey. Not only will judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. be helping them; now former Idol stars will aid in the success of the contestants.

Additional former winners and performers from past seasons who will appear on the show tonight include Constantine Maroulis, Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks, David Cook and Haley Reinhart. Kellie Pickler spoke with Taste Of Country about returning to Idol and stated:

It was so great to return to American Idol and see some of my old friends and make a few new ones. I have always been so appreciative of the opportunity to be on Idol and of the doors that show opened for me. And, to be asked back to mentor and perform with a few of the final season’s contestants was a true honor.

Tonight on American Idol, seven of the contestants who performed this week on the show will be revealed as making it through to the top 14. Prior to their reveal, they will get to perform duets with their star mentors.

Stay tuned on Heavy.com to find out who made it through.
