With well over 20 acting credits under his belt, Michael Easton has built himself quite a reputation. More specifically, he’s garnered a slew of loyalists for his many General Hospital portrayals.

On March 21, Easton — evidently having more lives than a cat — makes his latest return to the ABC soap as Dr. Hamilton Finn. Amid the occasion, the actor’s fans are coining it Michael Easton Day on social media. We last saw the 49-year-old as Dr. Silas Clay (2012-2015); a character that was stabbed in the back by Donna Mills‘s Madeline Reeves.

In his personal life, Easton keeps a fairly low profile but still manages to keep himself pretty busy — as a husband, author and father — outside of TV.

Here’s what you need to know about the popular soap actor:

1. Hamilton Finn Is Easton’s Fourth Character in the ‘General Hospital’ World

On October 1, 2003, Easton debuted as Agent John McBain — after Port Charles’s 2003 cancellation — on One Life to Live and stayed on as that character until the cord was cut on that show in January 2012. Initially, Easton was going to portray McBain on Prospect Park — an Internet version of the program — but it was never shot. He then inked a deal with General Hospital and debuted on March 13, 2012 as the same character.

When a slew of Port Charles characters were transitioned to GH, Easton began taking on two roles: McBain and an alteration of his PC role, Caleb Morley. The actor exited the show in February 2013 because of contractual issues. In May 2013, he returned and began working as Dr. Silas Clay until the character’s death on August 31, 2015.

2. Easton Is Married to Ginevra Arabia

In 2004, Easton tied the knot to Ginevra Arabia. The two reside in New York City together, according to his website. There isn’t a lot of info on Easton’s wife or marriage as the actor keeps a rather low profile. On August 14, 2015, Soap Central queried the actor on whether he thought his low-key lifestyle hurt his popularity amongst GH producers.

“I don’t think so, but you’d have to ask them. For me, it’s always been about the work. And right or wrong, at the end of the day, I live with myself.”

Later in the interview, Easton was asked to explain why he thought he’s been voted “one half of the #1 couple on every show he’s been on.” Aside from crediting those that played his opposites — Kelly Monaco (Livvie on PC and Sam on GH) and Melissa Archer (Natalie on OLTL) — Easton said Arabia made him a better man.

“It takes two to tango. I’ve had great dance partners along the way. As in life, a good woman will make you better than you really are.”

3. Easton & Arabia Have 2 Children

Easton and wife Arabia have two children. On April 15, 2011, the couple had their first child Lila Bell Easton. On November 11, 2011, Easton dished to TV Guide about how his life losses prepped him for fatherhood.

The world doesn’t revolve around me anymore. Now it’s all about this little baby. I come home after a rough day, I see her and she smiles and nothing but that matters. I know that sounds really cliché but it’s the truth. I can be a pretty hard ol’ boy. I’ve had a lot of losses in my life, and roughed my way through a few things, and she has really warmed my heart.

On September 12, 2013, Easton announced the news of son Jack Boru Easton’s birth (shown above) on Facebook.

“We welcome with love our son, born September 7, 2013 at 8:07 AM weighing 9 pounds 9 ounces. Thank you for your kind wishes and God Bless.”
