Nyle DiMarco was the winner of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22 and now he is a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. And, he just happens to be deaf. One would think that would make things very difficult to keep time and dance properly … and they would be right. But, you would never know it based on DiMarco’s amazing performance on the premiere. DiMarco’s fellow contestants and pros on the show were jumping up and down in excitement at DiMarco’s performance. And, judge Bruno Tonioli could not believe his eyes. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba was blown away and also turned on a bit by the super hot model.
This season, DiMarco is paired with pro Peta Murgatroyd, who is trying to learn sign language a bit in order to communicate better with DiMarco. DiMarco says he is able to keep the beat by watching Murgatroyd and following her pacing.
For his very first performance on the show, DiMarco earned a score of 23 out of 30.
