The Passion, also known as The Passion: New Orleans, is a live musical event airing on FOX for Palm Sunday, March 20, 2016. The special will broadcast at 8 – 10 p.m. ET live/PT time delayed and 7 – 9 p.m. CT. If you cannot watch the show on your television, you can stream it LIVE on FOX.com or FOX NOW mobile apps, with an exclusive pre-show beginning at 7:30 ET/6:30 CT. You will need a cable log in to access the stream or have someone else’s cable information available. Then, sign in with your participating TV provider (Verizon FIOS, Optimum, etc.) FOX reports that streams will run at the same time as the show airs in your local market. If you miss the live show, you can stream The Passion ON DEMAND anytime on FOX.com and all FOX NOW apps starting Monday, March 21, 2016.

As for any additional streaming of the musical, on March 22, 2016, the special will be available on Netflix. It will be accessible on an international level, with the Netherlands as an exception.

The special will air in the Netherlands on March 25, 2016, as reported by Deadline.

For the big event, the show will be shot at nine different locations in New Orleans in front of an audience of over 25,000 people.

It is the telling of the story of Jesus Christ’s life on Earth, but set in modern day times. Using passages from the Bible and popular music, Tyler Perry narrates the event. The show is arranged by hit music producer Adam Anders with stars including Seal, Trisha Yearwood, and Chris Daughtry as part of the cast.
