Speaking of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and his frustration, could one half of the Salvatore brothers be ready to walk away from Mystic Falls? This may be the metaphorical straw that breaks the even-more metaphorical camel's back. After all, in the beginning of this season viewers saw Damon waking up in a coffin three years in the future and the way things are going, it appears as if the vampire is on the fast track to that moment. Also making decisions about their future is Matt (Zach Roerig) whose hatred of vampires is seemingly at an all-time high. He's determined to take a stand against the supernatural forces in Mystic Falls, but the human is having a difficult time doing that without also getting himself killed. (Annette Brown/The CW)
