Country artist Thomas Rhett showed up to kick off the show with a high-energy performance. Following Rhett's set, the top 11 performers were brought out to the stage so that host Carson Daly could begin the results. First, of course, Daly chatted with a couple of the contestants about what they've learned so far on the show. Then of course, Daly got into the results, revealing the first two artists safe tonight. And, the first name called was ... Mary Sarah from Team Blake. The next contestant revealed as being saved by America was from Team Christina - Nick Hagelin. After a short commercial break, Daly asked each coach about the artists on their teams this season. Christina Aguilera couldn't help but gush over her contestants' personalities in addition to their voices. Soon, Daly brought the artists back on stage for more results. And, the next safe performer was from Team Adam ... and it was Laith Al-Saadi. It was then revealed that America also saved Alisan Porter from Team Xtina. After another commercial break, coach Pharrell took the stage for a performance with his contestants Hannah Huston and Daniel Passino, neither of whom had learned their fates on the show yet tonight. After the performance, host Carson Daly asked Paxton Ingram and Shalyah Fearing about their experiences on the show. Fearing said that she drinks chamomile tea and prays in order to stay calm. Next up were more results. America saved ... from Team Pharrell Williams - Hannah Huston. America also saved Paxtom Ingram from Team Blake. Next up was an insane performance from Team Xtina of the song "Live and Let Die." And then the last three artists safe for the night were announced, starting with Shalyah Fearing from Team Adam Levine. Then it was revealed that America also saved Adam Wakefield from Team Blake. This left one more save, which went to Bryan Bautista from Team Christina Aguilera. This meant that Daniel Passino and Owen Danoff were in the bottom two.

First up competing for the "Instant Save" was Daniel Passino, performing Nick Jonas' "Jealous." Passino was a pretty tough act to follow, but Danoff took the stage with a soft performance of the song "Burning House." Unfortunately, Danoff's performance wasn't as smooth as Passino's. Would it be enough to carry him through to the next round of the competition? And, the contestant saved by America was Daniel Passino. (Photo by: Trae Patton/NBC)
