1. When McNearney Met Kimmel He Insulted Her

When I first met him, he insulted me! The executive producer brought me into his office and said, “This is Molly; she’s my new assistant.” Jimmy barely looked up from his desk until my EP said, “She competes in triathlons,” and then Jimmy looked up at me and said, “That is really stupid! What a waste of time.” [Laughs] That was the first and only thing he probably said to me the entire first year of working there.

She is incredibly funny and talented and very good on the show. She’s always so kind to me, she’s so warm, and I just admire her on so many levels, personally and professionally. I think it’s a great example that you don’t have to cut your exes out of our life. They really have shaped you into who you are—and if you can keep them in your life, I think you should.
Silverman and Kimmel dated for five years before breaking up for good in March 2009.

When it comes to being an amazing host, talented cook and generous friend, McNearney gives all the credit to her husband Kimmel, calling him a “great wife.” For their first dinner together at his house, Kimmel had previously asked McNearney about her favorite foods. Upon arrival, McNearney saw he had cooked her each one and they were all made from scratch. McNearney also told a cute anecdote to People:
When we started dating, I would go back and forth between my place and his. I have my stuff at my house, and I like my own space. One time, he was in the bathroom for a very long time, and I just figured something was going on internally … A few days later, he presented me with this big box that had two of everything in my makeup and Dopp kit, because he saw that I was lugging stuff back and forth, and he wanted me to be comfortable in his home. He was in the bathroom for that hour and a half with my bag going through every single thing: every lotion, razor, deodorant, shampoo, makeup.
