As season 10 of The Voice comes to a close, many of us are wondering what’s in store for season 11. According to PremiereDate.TV, the show is set to return with a new season this coming September 2016, but the exact date has not yet been released. The show will then run through December 2016. In addition, there are new coaches in the mix. Veteran judges Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are returning, but Christina Aguilera has exited the show and Pharrell Williams will be gone as well. Next season will be the first season that there will be two female judges – Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys.
As for the contestants, no names have been released yet and not many are often made public prior to their blind auditions. Each season, before every blind audition episode, a couple preview videos of specific auditions are released and that’s when most people find out who the performers are on the show.
When it comes to the tabloid rumors circulating about the coaches next season, Miley Cyrus is reported to be butting heads with Adam Levine. A source told Us Weekly:
They both have short attention spans. They find each other annoying. Adam would get agitated when Miley would interrupt him, and she enjoyed getting under his skin.
On the other hand, the NBC source says that Cyrus gets along well with Levine’s buddy, coach Blake Shelton.
There are also rumors that Cyrus is feuding with fellow female judge Alicia Keys, but Cyrus has said that these reports are absolutely false. On The Tonight Show, Cyrus explained:
I think people, when they put girls on TV, they [think], ‘This is how we’re going to get the ratings up because there’s going to be drama and there’s going to be cat fights.’ They’re thinking that we’re just going to bring kind of the dramatics to the show and we couldn’t be more opposite.
Stay tuned for more information on season 11 as the air date nears.
