UPDATE: Alisan Porter has won The Voice 2016. Click here for our recap on how it all went down tonight.
The Voice 2016 is almost over with the grand finale airing live tonight. Even though season 10 is coming to an end, season 11 is already in full effect and you can get some of the details on what to expect by clicking here. Tonight, coaches Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams say goodbye to make room for upcoming coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, but the show remains the same. Now let’s get back into what to expect tonight.
Several big artists will be guest performers on tonight’s episode from Zayn Malik to Ariana Grande to Little Big Town. In addition, we will see our favorite contestants perform one last time.
The remaining contestants on the show include Adam Wakefield, Alisan Porter, Hannah Huston and Laith Al-Saadi. Al-Saadi hails from Adam Levine’s team and he has a very consistent sound with many skills when it comes to instrumentation. He is the oldest of the contestants and has a great deal of experience under his belt.
Hannah Huston is the teacher who blossomed into a poised, professional singer on The Voice this season. She represents Pharrell Williams’ team in the finale and has managed to stay afloat as she progresses each week on the show. She’s somewhat of a dark horse in the running.
Alisan Porter and Adam Wakefield have each been called the contestants to beat this season. Each of them are consistently powerful in their performances and capture the audience. They both come from rough paths in life and have managed to overcome heartache. Porter has been under the guidance of Christina Aguilera while Wakefield has been taken under Blake Shelton’s wing. While our personal favorite is Alisan Porter, there’s a good chance that Wakefield could win. Who do you think will take the win?
Check out the remaining four contestants in the below gallery.
Adam Wakefield is a bluesy country singer who can be described as a southern rock artist. His iTunes sales have been at the top of the charts throughout the season and he is one of the front-runners on the show. But, life wasn't always easy for him. Prior to his being on the show, he had a band with his late brother. Unfortunately, his brother suffered from mental issues as well as drug abuse, eventually succumbing to an overdose.
