It’s the 2016 Tony Awards and, while many are looking forward to the performances, others are in anticipation of the red carpet arrivals. What will your favorite stars of the stage and screen be wearing tonight?
The Tonys begin at 8 p.m. ET/PT time delayed, but the red carpet show stars at 5:30 p.m. ET and it airs on the official Tony Awards website. Click here for the details and the official Tonys website.
TV host Alicia Quarles, Laura Michelle Kelly, producer Jordan Roth, and past Tony-winner Karen Olivo will all co-host the red carpet pre-show. Vogue.com Style Editor Edward Barsamian and Broadway star Esosa will serve as fashion correspondents, while Randi Zuckerberg and Blake Ross will be the social and theatre correspondents.
For those of you hoping to watch the actual awards show, the only legal way to stream the Tony Awards live online or a mobile device is via CBS All Access, a service that streams live CBS broadcasts in most U.S. markets.
The service costs $5.99 a month, but you can stream the Tony Awards tonight for free via the service’s free 7-day trial. You’ll have to enter your valid U.S. credit card information to sign up, but you won’t be charged if you cancel your subscription before the trial ends.
In addition to a red carpet show, there is a behind-the-scenes show set to air on the official Tonys website as well. The BTS show will air at the same time as the awards show.
