G-Easy, born Gerard Earl Gillum, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer, from Oakland, California. Though he's relatively new to the music scene, his first two albums, These Things Happen and When It's Dark Out, have received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. Gillum began his career as a record producer while he was still an undergrad at Loyola University in New Orleans.
