Tonight airs the Stand Up to Cancer event, which helps to bring awareness and benefit those who are fighting against cancer. The organization was started in 2008 in order to raise money for cancer research. Their official mission statement is that: Stand Up To Cancer’s (SU2C) mission is to raise funds to accelerate the pace of groundbreaking translational research that can get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now. The networks featuring the Stand Up to Cancer show include: HBO, HBO Latino, Showtime, Starz, Starz Encore, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, HLN, Comedy Central, WGN, E!, Bravo, National Geographic Channel, WPXN, LMN, WNYW, ESW, VH1, MLB, SMTH, TBS, FX, ESPN, LOGO, ION, WTXF, DLIF, ASPRE, FS2, and USA.
