WATCH: Last ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Trailer is Here

The final trailer for Warner Bros. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, the new Harry Potter spin-off, finally arrived on Wednesday. The new film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, a British wizard who arrives in New York, 70 years before the events in Harry Potter.

In the trailer, we learn that Scamander has let loose a box-full of magical monsters in New York and the American wizarding community isn’t very happy with him. He also gets in trouble when he inadvertently introduces Muggle Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler) into the magical world. The action-packed trailer concludes with the familiar Harry Potter theme written by John Williams, just in case audiences forget that the two franchises are linked.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling wrote the original script, which was inspired by a Hogwarts textbook she wrote. David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter films, also directed Fantastic Beasts.

Fantastic Beasts hits theaters on November 18. Other members of the cast include Jon Voight, Katherine Waterston, Zoe Kravitz, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman and Alison Sudol.

In the following BBC interview, Rowling spoke about Fantastic Beasts. She said that, although these are different characters, Fantastic Beasts is still part of the “same world” as Harry Potter. “I think part of me will forever live there and I’m not sorry about that,” she said.
