In the original musical, Dr. Everett Scott was played by British actor Jonathan Adams, who acted in a number of celebrated television shows and films over the course of his career, including Jesus of Nazareth, Eskimo Neil, Three for All, and many more. In a recent interview with Broadway World, Vereen discussed Dr. Scott's role in the musical. "Well, Dr. Scott is a German scientist who has been watching the castle for a long time because he suspects something strange is going on over there, and he also investigates UFO's and aliens for the government. So he has an idea that something is going on, and he finds an excuse to get inside the castle itself to find out what that is." (Getty)
