Dancing With the Stars is in full swing for 2016 and you may need a refresher on how to vote for your favorite celebrities. Now, here are the official rules to voting, provided by ABC:
You must be 18 years old and located in the U.S. to vote on ABC.com.
Viewers cast their votes via phone on Monday night during and up to 60 minutes after the end of the Dancing with the Stars broadcast in each time zone. Online voting at www.ABC.com and on Facebook at https://apps.facebook.com/votedwts/ is open for 24 hours, beginning from the start of the episode on the East Coast at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT and closing at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday nights.
To vote at ABC.com, a username and a valid email address are a must. You can also use a Facebook log in.
If you have an existing ABC account:
When you log into your ABC account, you will be sent a confirmation email. Just click on the link inside. Once your account is validated, you’re all set to vote for the season. We recommend you validate your account now so you’re ready to roll come Dancing premiere night. You can sign in at the top of the page to validate your account.
According to ABC, there is a voting limit, which is based on the number of contestants at the start of each episode, down to a minimum limit of 5 votes.
