The newest Lifetime original movie is Death of a Vegas Showgirl, another based-on-a-true-story film. This one centers on the death of Debbie Flores Narvaez in 2010. The movie airs on Saturday, October 22 at 8 p.m. ET. Read on for a preview of the film.

Death of a Vegas Showgirl is based on the 2010 murder of Debbie Flores Narvarez. She disappeared in December 2010 and police searched for her for nearly a month before her roommate led authorities to her body, which was found dismembered in a vacant house. In May 2014, Jason Omar Griffith was convicted of first-degree murder. He was sentenced to 10 years-to-life in prison.

The film was written by Brian D. Young (Marriage of Lies, Patient Killer) and directed by Penelope Buitenhuis (Newlywed and Dead, My Life as a Dead Girl).
