Ryan Tedder

Ryan Tedder is the lead vocalist of One Republic. Tedder, 37, was born in Oklahoma in 1979, and was raised by an extended family of missionaries and pastors in a Christian church. He began learning piano at age three, and is a self-taught vocalist. When Tedder was a senior in high school, he moved to Colorado, where he met the other members of what would become One Republic. Tedder attended Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in PR and Advertising. When he was 21, Tedder was selected by 'N Sync's Lance Bass as one of five finalists for a one-hour MTV special. As an artist, Tedder has written and produced singles with artists like Demi Lovato, Adele, Birdy, Alsou, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson, Alexandra Burke, the Backstreet Boys, Beyoncé Knowles, Monrose, David Cook, Big Time Rush, Jordin Sparks, A. J. McLean, Chris Cornell, Ashley Tisdale, Ludacris, Gavin DeGraw, James Blunt, James Morrison, Paula DeAnda, Hilary Duff, and many more. (Getty)
