Hailee Steinfeld is the star of The Edge of Seventeen, which opened in November 2017. With that in mind, you might be wondering if the Pitch Perfect 2 star is dating anyone at the moment. She is currently dating Cameron Smoller.
On May 2, TMZ reported that Bieber and Steinfeld have been dating for just over a month. They were introduced by a pastor, since they go to the same church. A source told TMZ that Bieber met with Steinfeld after the MET Gala, which she attended solo. Gossip Cop later reported that this report wasn’t true. They aren’t dating.
In an April 2016 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she said that she could find time for a boyfriend. However, that’s not on the top of her to-do list.
“I mean, there’s always time for dating,” the busy actress and singer said. “I do feel that right now, though—and I hate saying this—my top priority is what I’m working on. It’s that and family, and then everything else.”
Last winter, there were rumors that the 19-year-old Steinfeld was dating Charlie Puth, who performed “See You Again” with Wiz Khalifa. When their was speculation that Puth was dating Meghan Trainor because of their kiss during the 2015 American Music Awards, Puth told Seventeen that he has a “girl in my life right now that I’m not making too public.”
On top of that, there was cryptic Twitter activity that Teen Vogue noticed, where Steinfeld Favorited fan tweets that mentioned the two together.
Eventually though, Entertainment Tonight tracked Steinfeld down at a red carpet event and asked her if she was dating Puth. She said that they were just friends and she’s a “huge fan” of his work.
Steinfeld shot to fame in 2010 when she starred in Joel and Ethan Coen’s True Grit with Jeff Bridges and received an Oscar nomination for her performance. In 2015, she starred in Pitch Perfect 2, a role she used to help launch her music career.
The Edge of Seventeen is a coming-of-age comedy that was written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig and co-stars Blake Jenner, Haley Lu Richardson, Kyra Sedgwick and Woody Harrleson.
