Carrie Fisher was easily the best talk show guest a host could ever hope for. She was up for anything, thanks to her blunt outlook on life and being quick to come up with a joke. She could tell stories about Hollywood royalty, as the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and the late Eddie Fisher. She could tell stories about making Star Wars and she would always tell great stories about her own battles with drug addiction and alcoholism.

Fisher died on December 27 at age 60, leaving behind a legacy of great interviews and great performances. Here are just a few of the best interviews she ever gave.

How Did Gary Like The Force Awakens?

In this classic December 2015 interview with Good Morning America anchor Amy Robach, Fisher revealed what her dog Gary thought about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Gary was Fisher’s beloved therapy dog and the two were inseparable in recent years.

The Harrison Ford Affair

Fisher’s last book was The Princess Diarist, in which she dished about an affair with Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo in the Star Wars films. When news broke in the tabloids that this was the big reveal from the book, she was constantly asked about it during the media tour. Here’s how she answered questions about it while on Today.

The Space Double Standard

In her last appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Fiher told the host why Princess Leia never got a lightsaber. Even in space, there’s a double standard. We also saw Gary do some fancy tricks.

Carrie Fisher with David Letterman

The above video is a compilation of clips from Fisher’s appearances with David Letterman to promote Return of the Jedi in 1983 and Postcards from the Edge in 1987. Even then, Fisher could come up with any joke to please a host. It’s funny, because at the start, she tells Letterman that she doesn’t think there will be another Star Wars movie.

Carrie Fisher & Johnny Carson

Here’s Fisher’s first appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, also during the Return of the Jedi media tour. Amazingly, she still had Princess Leia’s hologram speech memorized in 1983.

Fisher Talks About ‘Delusions of Grandma’ With Charlie Rose

In 1994, Fisher was promoting Delusions of Grandma, which was a reference to the phrase “delusions of grandeur,” which was used in Return of the Jedi.

Carrie Fisher Talks to Oprah Winfrey With Debbie Reynolds by Her Side

Oprah Winfrey had the power to get celebrities to open up about their darkest demons. It didn’t take much to get Fisher to talk about hers, but her appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show was particularly unique because her mother, Debbie Reynolds, was by her side. You can watch the full episode above.
