Mary Tyler Moore as Laura Petrie
Mary Tyler Moore became a star thanks to her role as Rob Petrie's wife Laura on The Dick Van Dyke Show. The series, created by Carl Reiner, ran from 1961 to 1965 on CBS and stars Van Dyke as a comedy show writer for the fictitious The Alan Brady Show. Every time Rob came home, Laura was there, along with his son Richie.
Moore was one of 60 actresses considered for the wife role and she almost skipped the audition. Thankfully she went and won the role. She won a Golden Globe and two Emmys for the show. Moore died on January 25 at age 80. Click through to see where the rest of the main cast for the Dick Van Dyke Show is today. (Getty)
