Actor and singer Robert Davi is speaking at CPAC 2017 twice, first on February 23 and again on February 25. The 63-year-old Queens native is best known for roles in The Goonies, Showgirls and License to Kill, but he’s also an active conservative voice.

Today, Davi has his own radio show on Talk Radio Network and still finds time to make movies. He also contributes to the right-wing media outlet Brietbart and endorsed Donald Trump for president.

Here’s a look at Davi’s life and career.

When Davi isn’t busy recording music, doing his talk show or acting, he occasionally contributes to Brietbart, the right-wing media outlet formerly run by Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon. Davi’s most recent column was an open letter to Hollywood, telling the “elites” to invite illegal immigrants to the Oscars or they’ll be considered racist.

“It’s time the walls and electronic security gates come down. There are roughly 3,600 seats to the Oscars; we should have at least 2,500 seats reserved for illegal aliens, refugees and migrants, or maybe even more,” Davi wrote. He later added, “The Academy and the Vanity Fair people should also get the 150 criminals who have recently been deported from Los Angeles and bring them to the show as honored guests.”

In a September 2016 column, Davi wrote that Trump is the “one candidate who can save the Republic” from the policies of the last four decades.

“My dear friends, there is only one person running for President of the United States, and that is Donald J. Trump,” Davi wrote. “Those who oppose him, even among the GOP elite ‘Never Trump’ faction are either sadly misinformed, refuse to face the truth or are Globalists who wish America to be so “kind and gentle” that we will not assimilate but rather integrate into Kosovo!”

According to the Daily Mail, Davi has a 35-year-old son from his first marriage. He also has two daughters – Ariana and Frances – with his second wife, as well as younger twins.

Back in November 2013, TMZ reported that Bolster filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. There has been no public news on the divorce since she filed almost three years ago.

Davi has an estimated net worth of $2 million, Celebrity Net Worth notes. He is a Hofstra University graduate.

Since his flip-flop into the Senate race, Campbell has been calling himself a fiscal conservative based on his time as a member of Congress nearly two decades ago, hoping that voters will ignore his recent support for more government spending, increased borrowing, a $16 billion tax hike and a 32-cent gas tax increase. Davi didn’t just jump into politics to support Trump. He’s been a conservative voice for years, even appearing at the 2008 Republican National Convention and speaking at the 2009 CPAC.

Davi was also a narrator on Carly Fiorina’s infamous 2010 “Demon Sheep” attack ad. The ad was made in 2010, when Carly Fiorina ran for the U.S. Senate to represent California. In it, she criticizes former U.S. House Rep. Tom Campbell as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” who is not a true fiscal conservative. The ad worked, since Fiorina won the Republican nomination, but she lost to Barbara Boxer in the general election.

“Demon Sheep” was created by Fred Davis. In a Washington Post profile of Davis, Davi said he considers him a friend and calls him the “Wizard of Oz of political campaigns.”

“Here you have the Yellow Brick Road,” Davi told the Post of Davis. “You’re creating an illusion. You’re creating a world in Dorothy’s head. The iconic use of the straw man and the lion. In the political arena, you’re creating an illusion.”

Although Davi is a classically trained singer, it wasn’t until 2011 that he decided to begin recording professionally on the side. He released Davi Sings Sinatra — On The Road To Romance, an acclaimed album that was produced by Phil Ramone.

In a 2012 interview with the Las Vegas Sun, Davi said that performing Sinatra’s songs from the Great American Songbook was one of his childhood dreams. He actually made his film debut in the TV movie Contact on Cherry Street, which co-starred Sinatra.

“I also couldn’t do Sinatra’s music while he was alive because no one, to me, could ever compare with the best while he was alive,” Davi explained to the Sun. “But right now I have so much to say through the music. Through song, any fear that I had overcomes that. I feel like there is an open field, and I can add something to it.”

Davi has made a number of films in 2016 and 2017. He just appeared in Spreading Darkness and is working on Bachelor Lions. He recently finished filming Deported.

When Collider asked Davi if any of his roles have stood out, he said he’s never had one that has.

“I haven’t done it yet, to be honest with you,” Davi told the site. “I could say that the script that I just wrote, which is around the music, I’m really excited about it, and I think that might pull it all together. I’ve had some nice parts, but I haven’t had the thing that puts it [in the bull’s eye]. There are things that are around the bull’s eye, but not the bull’s eye. So I think this new thing could be that.”
