Oscars 2017 Winner, Who Won Best Picture, Who Won Best Actor Tonight, Who Won Best Actress Last Night

The 2017 Academy Awards were supposed to end at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT, but, of course, they ran late. If you have work on Monday morning and couldn’t stay up past midnight to watch the rest of the Oscars, we’ve got the rundown on who won the biggest awards of the night below.

First, however, let’s talk about the craziest moment of the night … when the wrong winner was announced for Best Picture. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway said they received the wrong card when they revealed the winner for Best Picture. As a result, the winner they revealed was incorrect. La La Land did not win, but the news was not revealed until the La La Land cast was on stage and one of the producers was giving an acceptance speech. It was a cringe-worthy moment to say the least. You can have a look at the moment in the below Twitter video.

Now check out the winners from tonight’s big categories below.

La La Land had been favored to win as it was cleaning up with awards tonight, so the surprise mistake was definitely a shock to many. Have a look at the mishap in the above Twitter clip.

Casey Affleck won against Denzel Washington, Andrew Garfield and several others tonight. As he thanked the others in his category, viewers could see tears in Washington and Garfield’s eyes. Affleck gave a heartfelt thank you to his fellow cast members, crew and family, at the end telling his brother Ben Affleck that he loves him.

Emma Stone was the winner in the Best Actress category tonight, up against heavy-hitters like Meryl Streep. She was sure to thank everyone she could possibly think of and the award was presented to her by famed actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
