Nanny Seduction centers on Ben and Kara Turling, who are hoping to find the perfect nanny for their adoptive daughter. They find one named Alyssa, but as with all Lifetime movies, there are secrets behind every corner. It turns out that when they find out who Alyssa really is, Ben’s past comes back to haunt him. (Because as we all know, pasts do nothing but haunt people in the present, at least in Lifetime movies.)

The movie was directed by Emily Moss Wilson, who makes her film directing debut with the project. She previously directed part of a short web series called Please Tell Me I’m Adopted!. She was also an assistant coordinator on 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Writer Marcy Holland is behind several TV movies, including Wish Upon a Christmas< Sexting in Suburbia and Christmas on the Bayou.

The film was once known as Missing Daughter and was filmed in August 2016 in Southern Mississippi, notes the Sun Herald.

“We have two young girls from Picayune — a set of twins, Alison and Lauren Gobuzzi — and they play the young girl,” producer Daniel Lewis told the Sun Herald. “The both play one character, a young girl named Riley and they were actually in Joe Dirt 2 with David Spade.”

“We’ve shot a lot of movies in Louisiana when the tax incentive program was going through sort of an experimental phase and then there was a little bit of uncertainty and Mississippi is our neighboring state,” Lewis further explained to the Sun Herald. “I drove over to the Coast and took a look and fell in love with some of the locations and there’s a trainable workforce who want to be a part of the growing industry, as well as a lot of people who have worked on films in other areas. The city of Gulfport — Mayor Billy Hewes and his office — were also great to work with.”

Lifetime doesn’t have any re-plays of Nanny Seduction on the schedule for the immediate future, so you’ll have to watch it tonight if you’re interested.
