Hunter Plake, ‘The Voice’ Contestant 2017

Hunter Plake

Hunter Plake is a member of Gwen Stefani's team on the 2017 season of The Voice and when he sang Sia's "Elastic Heart," he really brought the house down. Plake was raised singing in church, which he told People is a much different experience than being on The Voice. Plake explained: My church that I grew up in is professional, music-wise. I’d say the biggest transition for this is not really the stage and the atmosphere, it’s singing to celebrities. At church, Adam Levine wasn’t attending and Gwen Stefani wasn’t hanging out with me backstage. One true accomplishment of Plake's is that he is the first singer in the history of The Voice that has two songs reach the iTunes Top 30 before the live playoffs.
