On Tuesday morning, Chris Soules was arrested after reportedly leaving the scene of a fatal car crash in Buchanan County, Iowa. The former Bachelor star was allegedly driving his Chevy pickup truck when it collided with a John Deere tractor, sending it into a ditch. The driver of the tractor was then taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Iowa State Patrol told FOX 31 Denver that Soules left the scene on foot, and was arrested just a few hours later.
When Soules got down on one knee at the end of his season of The Bachelor, he proposed to Chicago-area fertility nurse Whitney Bischoff.

Whitney and Chris have long since split. Two months after the finale aired, the couple announced they had ended their engagement and sent a joint statement to US Magazine, which read, “Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement. They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”
Today, Bischoff is engaged to a new man: Ricky Angel. She announced her engagement in July 2016 on social media.
A month after posting the news, Whitney spoke to People about her new man and him popping the question. “It was just perfect… I was completely shocked. Ricky got me good! I was so happy that I couldn’t quit smiling. My cheeks hurt!”
Whitney and Ricky met on Bumble in September 2015 and moved in together the following May. The former Bachelor winner dished, “On our first date, we just clicked. It was easy and that’s the way it should be.” According to the Chicago Tribune, Ricky is a sales manager.
While the engagement was quick, Whitney admitted that the whole ordeal was nerve-racking, and that she did feel a bit of apprehension jumping into the dating scene after splitting from Soules. “I was still a little bit broken and trying to pick up the pieces. But from day one there was open communication with Ricky about what I had gone through. I think one of the reasons I fell in love so quickly is that I could say everything and know I was not being judged.”

Recently, Bischoff has made headlines for something other than her love life: egg freezing. Working as a nurse specialist for the Ova Egg Freezing Speciality Clinic in Chicago, Bischoff is a huge proponent of egg freezing, and recently sat down with People to discuss the topic. “I really don’t understand why any woman wouldn’t do it. It is definitely an investment. Egg freezing literally allows you to freeze your fertility and time.” She even got her fellow Bachelorette friends, like Kaitlyn Bristowe, on board.
