“Sign of the Times” marks Styles’ first single from his debut solo LP, Harry Styles, which will be officially released on May 12th. Harry announced that he’d be dropping the 10-track LP just last month. In the music video above, Styles can be seen walking across water in a Jesus-like music video that was filmed in Scotland. When Will Banks, the video’s stunt pilot, spoke to Billboard, he said Styles flew more than 1,550 feet high during the shoot.
Fans of the 23-year-old should know that he’ll be kicking off his 29-stops solo tour in September in San Francisco. If you’re hoping to get tickets to the event, well, you’ll have to be inventive.
According to Time, the tour sold out in less than two minutes.
A lot of exciting things are on the horizon for the young artist. On July 21, 2017, he’ll make his big screen acting debut in the Christopher Nolan movie Dunkirk, which chronicles the experience of 400,000 Allied soldiers evacuating the beaches of France. The movie features an A-list cast, from Tom Hardy and Mark Rylance to Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy.
In an interview with The Huffington Post in April, Christopher Nolan spoke about casting the former One Direction band mate and what he saw in him. Nolan told the outlet, “… for the guys on the beach, we really wanted young unknowns. [Styles is] not that unknown, but he’d never done anything as an actor before. So he auditioned. I auditioned literally thousands of young men with different combinations of young men. And he had it.” Before filming, Styles chopped off his luscious locks, so be prepared to see a not-so-Harry Styles when you walk into theaters July 21.
