Lauren Duski on ‘The Voice’: Will She Win Season 12?

Blake Shelton has two contestants in the mix as finalists in the finale of season 12 for The Voice and, according to Gold Derby, singer Lauren Duski is favored to win. After her original song “Deja Vu” debuted, it reportedly reached number 1 on the iTunes charts. Check out the music video for her debut single above.

So, let’s get to know a little bit about Duski. According to Earn the Necklace, this girl is taken by a boyfriend named Shane Miller. Miller is an artist, who has been supporting his girlfriend in her journey on The Voice, posting loving comments online this this one:

So incredibly proud of this girl and all she’s accomplished. She’s about to sing (again) in front of millions of people tonight. Tune into NBC at 7 pm central. I love you and know you’re gonna slay it.

Another special person in Duski’s life is her mentor Ann Gillis. Gillis and her husband Marvin took Duski under their wing in Nashville until Gillis was diagnosed with ALS. Duski said that she has taken on the responsibility of becoming Gillis’ full-time caretaker.

Duski is also very close with her family and posted the following message to her parents on Instagram:

Still have to pinch myself every day for these two. Lucky is an understatement. Without you behind me from the beginning I would not be here sharing music with you all today. Thank you for never giving up on me, and for never letting me give up on myself. You show me every day what it is like to be truly selfless. Way to set the bar high mom and dad! I love you.

Both of Duski’s parents are dentists, so clearly, she has taken a different path than them.

Duski performs on tonight’s season 12 finale of The Voice on NBC from 9 – 11 p.m. ET live/PT time delayed.
