Aziz Ansari as Dev Shah
The second season of Netflix's Master of None is finally here, more than a year after season one was released in November 2015. In the new season, Dev Shah has adventures in Italy, where he studies the culinary arts, and eventually returns to New York during the 10 episodes.
Master of None stars Aziz Ansari as Dev, a 30-year-old actor whose claim to fame was Go-Gurt commercial at the start of season one. At the end, he decided to leave New York and try out life in Italy for a few weeks. The series was created by Ansari and Alan Yang, and is loosely based on Ansari's own life experiences. So far, season two has earned critical acclaim. Slate says the show "goes bigger and gets better."
“Season one is about not knowing what you want. Season two is about wanting what you can’t have,” Ansari told Vogue. “We’ve always thought the show can be like real life: Sometimes certain people are in your life, and sometimes they’re not.”
As for the real-life Ansari, he shot to fame with his role as Tom Haverford on NBC's Parks and Recreation. He also played himself in This Is The End. He has three stand-up specials available on Netflix, including Buried Alive. Click through to meet the rest of the Master of None cast! (Ali Goldstein/Netflix)
