Tonight is the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards and the event begins at 8 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. It will air across several channels and is available to watch online via a few live stream options. The show will air on MTV, VH1, BET, Comedy Central, Spike, TV Land and MTV2.
For those who wish to watch the show online via MTV Live, click here. You must have cable or have someone else’s cable log in information as you need to sign in with a TV provider to access the stream. You will click “Sign In” and then choose your TV provider (ie. Direct TV, Optimum, Verizon). You then can either choose to sign in with your Facebook/Twitter account or create and register a new account. The awards will also be available on the MTV App. The MTV App gives you the ability to watch the latest MTV and MTV2 full episodes the day after they air, plus full seasons of select shows, digital original series and insider access to our biggest pop culture events like the VMAs and Movie Awards as well. If you would like to watch the show via Spike online will be televised on Spike TV. You can watch a live stream of that broadcast via Sling TV, an online streaming service that provides access to select channels for a monthly fee. Here’s how to sign up for a free 7-day trial:
1) Click here to go to the Sling website.
2) Click on “Watch Now 7 Days Free”.
3) Create an account.
4) Select the channel package or packages you want. You can choose either base package, but make sure to add the “Comedy Plus” extra, which includes Spike TV.
5) Enter your payment information. Sling Blue costs $25 per month, but if you cancel your subscription within seven days of signing up, you will not be charged.
6) Download the app for your computer to start watching.
