‘The Voice’ 2017 Contestants: Top 8 Winners of Season 12

"The Voice" 2017 Contestants: Top 8 Winners of Season 12

This week, the top 8 contestants will be narrowed down to 6 performers. The Top 8 perform tonight, on Monday, May 15, 2017, with the results being revealed in the following episode, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Each singer will try to reach the top 10 with their performances on iTunes in order to receive a "vote multiplier". Three contestants who attain the most votes will move on to the finals, while two will immediately be sent home. Meanwhile, the three contestants on the bubble with the votes, will have to sing for their spot in the competition and compete for the Instant Save on the results show. The contestant who gets the most Instant Save votes live, will join the top 3 in the finale. Next Monday will be part 1 of the finale, airing at the same time as the Dancing With the Stars finale. The final four artists will perform for the votes of their at-home audience. On May 23, 2017, the grand finale will air from 9 - 11 p.m. ET/PT and host Carson Daly will reveal the winner. There will also be special performances taking place. In recent Voice news, Jennifer Hudson is on board for next season to be a judge and Kelly Clarkson has signed up for season 14. In a statement to NBC, Clarkson exclaimed that: I’m so excited to join ‘The Voice’ at NBC. We’ve been going back and forth with them for years on joining their team and the timing hasn’t been right until now. Ever since NBC and I worked together on my Christmas special years ago we have established an amazing relationship and I have always loved coming on to either mentor, or perform on "The Voice" over the years. I can’t wait to turn my chair and see the faces of up and coming artists that I may be able to help get that push and support they’ve been needing to break into this industry. Watch out Shelton… I’m comin’ to win! As for Jennifer Hudson, Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment, stated that: Jennifer is an extraordinary vocal talent and one of the premier voices of our time. She embodies the experience, expertise, positivity and sheer talent that “The Voice” stands for. Her exceptional skills as a singer and actress have extended to film, television and Broadway, which makes her an incredible addition and a natural fit for our show. This guy irritates the shit out of me. He looks like a dork when he sings – ish
(Hunter, thumbs down) His voice isn’t bad but his looks when he sings totally turns me off. You have to have both. I’m not saying he’s ugly at all but he makes horrible faces when he sings.
