“Unbreakable! They alive, dammit!” Yes, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is back for a third season. Kimmy, with her bright-colored clothes and overly-optimistic personality, is here to brighten up our day. The third season of the series will be available on Netflix at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Friday, May 19, 2017. To stream the series, click here to go directly to the show’s page on Netflix. Read on for a preview and to check out the trailer.

For those not up to speed, Kimmy Schmidt began with Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) and three other women finally being released into the world after they were kidnapped and held hostage for 15 years by “Reverend” Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm … yes as in the Jon Hamm). When the women are asked to go to New York to visit The Today Show, Kimmy decides she’d rather stay behind. She moves in with wannabe actor Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess), whose landlady is the bizarre Lillian Kaushtupper (Carol Kane). She also works for Jacquilene Voorhes (Jane Krakowski) as a babysitter.

Season two meandered a little bit, but the show still lived up to the high standards of season one. It ended with the sudden news that Kimmy was somehow married to The Reverend, who’s now in prison. Titus also left New York to become a performer on a cruise and Kimmy reconnected with her mother (Lisa Kudrow).

In season three, Titus comes back to New York and Lillian breaks up with Robert Durst (Fred Armisen). Kimmy also has her G.E.D., and now has to figure out what to do next. She also needs to get a divorce from The Reverend. Titus also spots is former boyfriend with another man, so he’s going to go out “Lemonade-ing.”

Kimmy has been nominated for 11 Emmys, although it’s still looking for its first win. Kemper earned an Emmy nomination for season two.
