Actor Adam West, who portrayed Batman in the 1966 TV series, has died at the age of 88. West continued to work into his old age, primarily doing voiceover work and starring in a movie as recently as last year. So what were Adam West’s final film and television performances before his death? Did he have any projects still in development?
There are at least two projects that West had worked on but that have not been seen. First, West was to guest star on the NBC comedy series Powerless, and according to TV Line, this cameo was filmed. However, Powerless was canceled and the final episodes were never aired.
In addition, Adam West was signed on to voice Batman in Batman vs. Two-Face, a straight-to-video DC animated movie. The movie has no release date, but it is expected to arrive in 2017, meaning West had likely already recorded his performance before his death.
The final performance that Adam West delivered that is now available to watch is actually an episode of Family Guy; he most recently voiced Mayor Adam West in the Season 15 episode “Dearly Deported,” as he has done for over 100 episodes.
West also in 2016 voiced Batman in Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders. This was a DC animated film in which West returned to voice the Caped Crusader; Burt Ward also returned as Robin. The upcoming Batman vs. Two-Face is a sequel to Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.
In terms of live action projects, Adam West appeared as himself in a 2016 episode of The Big Bang Theory, in which the show’s characters argue over who is the best Batman. In 2009, he had a cameo in the film Super Capers, a parody of superhero movies.
