On Alaskan Bush People, matriarch Ami Brown is shown in ill health and she’s been getting tests done by different doctors. At one point, a mass is found in her lungs and she must get a biopsy, which leaves her family on edge. So far this season, fans do not know what illness Brown is suffering from or if it can be cured, but there are reports that Brown definitely has cancer.
On a Facebook page called “Alaskan Bush People Exposed,” one of the comments from the page creator is that the Browns have now settled down in Colorado because of Ami’s condition. And on June 19, 2017, the Facebook page posted a status that read, “Just received a confirmation that Ami has stage 4 lung cancer.” The cancer could be a result of smoking, as ABPE commented:
People who know them and have interacted with them while filming have said she smokes Marlboro reds.
In addition, Blasting News has reported that sources say radiation and chemotherapy treatment have not slowed Brown’s condition.
On tonight’s episode of the show, Ami Brown’s diagnosis is supposed to be revealed, so we will have to see for ourselves, if the reports are true. In addition, Brown’s children try to rally together and be strong, daughter Snowbird in particular.
This is not the first time that Brown has had health issues, as in the past, show viewers have watched her need extensive dental work on her mouth after she exhibited a great amount of pain from lack of care. See a clip of Brown’s tooth crisis in the below video clip.
