Anthony Battle Gets the Solo Date Tonight On ‘The Bachelorette’ 2017

Anthony Battle is one of the contestants on this season of The Bachelorette and tonight, he gets his first solo date with star Rachel Lindsay. The two go horseback riding in Los Angeles and it must have gone well because Battle did not get eliminated on this episode. According to ABC, this is how the date goes down:

Rachel lures away one dashing bachelor for a horseback ride down Rodeo Drive, shopping for cowboy gear in some high-end stores. Later that night, she takes her date to a romantic spot overlooking the Los Angeles skyline for dinner and live jazz music. Simultaneously, she tries to uncover a fun side to this serious man.

In addition to the solo date tonight, there are also two group dates.

For one of the group dates, the contestants get to appear on The Ellen Show and ABC’s plot description reads:

Six lucky suitors are invited to a taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” The Emmy Award-winning host surprises the men, having them strip for a live audience to raise money for charity. Then DeGeneres invites them on stage for a hilarious – and revealing – game of “Never Have I Ever.” Embarrassing secrets seep out, but will Rachel be scared off or appreciate the guys’ honesty? At the after party, one shy man feels left out and decides to make a bold move. Will it pay off in a rose?

As for the other group date, former Bachelor contestants Corinne, Raven, Alexis and Jasmine join in on the festivities. And, there’s apparently some major drama that goes down with one of the contestants. In tonight’s episode synopsis, it reads:

On the final date of the week, Rachel is surprised by four of her closest girlfriends from Nick’s season: Alexis, Corinne, Jasmine and Raven, who have set up a mud wrestling competition with some of the bachelors at the Cowboy Palace. A raucous crowd roots them on, and the men are impressive with a surprise winner taking home the champion’s belt. Rachel’s gal pals express their concerns about one man, but will the Bachelorette take their comments to heart? She decides to have a frank conversation with this bachelor to assess whether the two can have a future together. However, the group just won’t let up on this man and they continue to try and voice their displeasure about him to Rachel. The emotional bachelor pleads with the others to stop bad-mouthing him to the Bachelorette. But there is one scheming guy who has something else in mind.

Getting back to Anthony Battle, he definitely seems to be on Lindsay’s level intellectually as he is a Northwestern graduate.
