‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 Episode 2: When Does It Premiere?

rick and morty season 3 episode 2 premiere date

Adult Swim The premiere date for Rick and Morty Season 3 Episode 2 has been announced.

It’s happening! We finally know when Rick and Morty Season 3 Episode 2 is going to premiere! During a live Rick and Morty event in Los Angeles, that was simultaneously livestreamed on AdultSwim.com, the premiere date was officially announced.

The next episode, Season 3 Episode 2, is going to air on Adult Swim on Sunday, July 30.

Fans are excited, but also disappointed that it’s not airing tonight. Instead, it won’t air until after Comic-Con. We haven’t seen an episode since the Season 3 premiere surprised everyone on April Fool’s (and made a few Samurai Jack fans sad when a rerun of the premiere preempted their own show.) And before that, we hadn’t seen an episode for a year-and-a-half — exactly like we were told would happen in the Season 2 finale.

Will there be more Szechuan Sauce? Will we find out of the premiere was real or just a hallucination? (It was probably real.) Fans can’t wait to see it and then analyze every single detail.

When today’s live stream event was announced, it sold out within minutes. (Tickets were selling for $5 apiece.) Fans bought the tickets while having absolutely no idea what was going to happen. A press release from Adult Swim told fans not to be late to the premiere, and no one was exactly sure how to take that little piece of advice. Was it a red herring or would something big be announced?

The premiere date is very welcome news, especially after all those rumors just a few days ago about the season being canceled. There wasn’t any truth to those rumors, and Harmon even took to Twitter to set everyone straight. Perhaps those rumors were part of the reason he felt compelled to host this event and get everyone back on the same page.
