On Monday, Drake shared a photo of himself on Instagram. The photo, which saw the rapper wearing a black and gold sweatsuit, sitting at a bar and looking pensive, instantly drew comparisons to the album cover of his 2011 album Take Care.

As a result, fans took as a possible hint that Drizzy plans to release a sequel. Check out the photo in question below (R), next to a photo of the Take Care album cover.

The comment section quickly filled up with pleas of Take Care 2, so much so that the term became a trending topic on Twitter during the wee hours of Tuesday morning. It became very clear that the original Take Care holds a special place in the hearts of Drizzy fans, and the notion of a sequel made them all very excited.

“Seen ‘Take Care 2’ trending y’all had me thinking this man done surprised us with some more heat,” posted one excited user, while others struggled to even comprehend the idea, tweeting out “If he makes take care 2 ima really be emotionally unstable for a very long time.”

The original was acclaimed for its personal subject matter, with songs like “Doing It Wrong” and “Look What You’ve Done” exploring territory rarely discussed in hip-hop. “If Take Care 2 comes I’m breaking up with my girlfriend and getting back with my ex,” joked another user, referencing Drake’s drunk-dial anthem “Marvin’s Room.”

Amidst all the wishful thinking, however, some did point out that Drake simply posted a photo of himself, and that there is no proof whatsoever that he plans to release a sequel. “This man didn’t say nothing about no Take Care 2 and ya’ll are jumping to conclusions lmao,” tweeted one user.

Some have even noted that the rapper has been growing his hair out as of late, similar to the way it was styled in 2011.

Take Care won Best Hip-Hop Album at the 55th Grammy Awards, spawning the hit singles “Take Care“, “Headlines“, and “The Motto.” As of 2017, it has been certified 4x platinum, and remains the most critically acclaimed release of Drake’s career.

However, this isn’t the first time rumors of a new Drake album have made their way online. Earlier this month, a rumor surfaced that the rapper would release an album titled Farewell, My Love in 2018, and that it would be his retirement from music.

The rumor was started by an account called TMZ Music, and has yet to receive confirmation or denial from Drake himself. Click below to learn more.
