Justin Bieber Hits Paparazzi With Truck Outside Church, Witnesses Say

Justin Bieber‘s pickup truck appeared to strike a pedestrian after he left the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills on Wednesday evening, police said.

According to a report from KTLA, police responded to a call of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at around 9:24 p.m. local time on Hamilton Drive close to Wilshire Boulevard. When they arrived, police found the 23-year-old singer tending to a man authorities described as a 57-year-old man who was injured at the scene. Bieber “fully cooperated” with police and was released after the investigation. No citations were issued.

The man was transported to an area medical facility with non-life threatening injuries. In its report, KTLA said that Bieber left in a 2017 Aston Martin that’s leased to Kourtney Kardashian.

TMZ posted a video of the ordeal from when Bieber entered his car to when police arrived. In it, Bieber is seen starting up his car and leaving the theater to a slew of paparazzi. As he starts making a slight right turn at a slow rate of speed, his truck appears to strike a man’s right leg as he’s trying to take photos of Bieber driving.

Almost immediately, Bieber exits the driver’s seat to check on the man’s well-being. He crouches on the ground and attempts to console the victim, asking if he needs anything while others say that the police are on their way.

Photos and videos flooded social media, showing Beverly Hills Police officers responding to the scene along with emergency personnel. Bieber was seen speaking to police about the accident.

Twitter user Alex Hager, who said he was inside a nearby church when Bieber the incident happened, described the scene in a video. He said the victim of the incident “got rushed to the hospital,” adding that Justin “appeared to be fine” after the incident.

Another Twitter user shared photos of the alleged incident showing a man laying on the ground gripping his leg while Bieber stands nearby with a smirk after sarcastically asking the paparazzi if they needed anything else.

The incident comes just four days after the singer announced he was canceling the rest of his Purpose World Tour. The tour began back in March 2016 and had one more North American leg to go. He was slated to end the tour with stops in Asia. The statement released by Bieber didn’t offer a full explanation for the decision, but said it was due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.
