Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are not engaged to be married, although the two are still dating.

Following last Sunday night’s Game Of Thrones premiere, rumors started circulating about the status of Harington and Leslie’s relationship. Life & Style Magazine reported that Harington, who plays Jon Snow on the super popular HBO series, popped the question to his longtime love — and she said “yes.” A source went on to say that the two had already been thinking about their upcoming nuptials.

“Kit recently cooked Rose a romantic candlelight dinner and proposed to her. She burst into tears and immediately said yes,” a source told the publication. “It will be a traditional Scottish wedding with kilts and bagpipes. They aren’t into the whole Hollywood scene at all. They both love spending their free time having friends over for dinner parties or cuddling up on the couch. They’re best friends and are constantly making each other laugh,” the source added.

And while this may seem believable, it’s actually not at all true. A short time after the initial report was published, the Metro was able to get in touch with a rep for the handsome actor and the rumors were quickly debunked.

“They are not engaged,” the rep said, keeping the remarks short and direct.

Harington and Leslie, both 30, met while filming Game Of Thrones back in Season 2 (she played the role of Ygritte for three seasons). The two first started dating in 2012, but tried their hardest to keep their relationship out of the public eye. In fact, the actors didn’t take their romance public (officially) until four years later; they made their red carpet couple debut at the 2016 Olivier Awards — they even snuck in a kiss!

Over the years, there have been plenty of rumors about Harington and Leslie that seem to spike whenever Game Of Thrones is on television. At this time, the two are thought to be happily dating and nothing more.
