Tonight is the 2017 Miss Teen USA competition, and 51 contestants from across the country will vie for the title of Miss Teen USA in Phoenix, Arizona.

The categories for the women include Athletic Wear, Evening Gown, Final Question and the Final Look, and the event will be hosted by Heidi Powell.

Below, we’ve outlined the 10 contestants who stood out to us during last night’s preliminaries. Below that, we’ve provided a list of all 51 women competing.

Georgia – Taylor Ward

Taylor Ward, 18, hails from Valdosta, Georgia. Her mission is to H.E.L.P. through education, love, and peace. According to her bio on Pageant Update, Taylor, “believes that miracles are real and that dreams come true and her daily prayer is that God allows a light to shine in her for the entire world to see.”

California – Jaanu Patel

16-year-old Jaanu Patel hails from Huntington Beach, California. She is a Bollywood Dancer, has traveled to 15 countries, and currently volunteers with Kaiser Permanente’s maternity ward.

South Carolina – Alexis Johnson

Alexis is the co-captain of the Varsity Cheerleading team at her high school in Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also very involved in DECA– a competitive marketing and business club at her high school.

Alexis’s hopes for the future include expanding “Katie’s Project”– an organization that helps underprivileged girls find their dream prom dress.

New York – Isabella Griffith

Isabella, 16, is involved in many of her school’s organizations.

Through Jack & Jill, she is active in various fundraisers like Breast Cancer Walks, and making baskets for families in need for Thanksgiving and Halloween.

Isabella has received the President’s Volunteer Service Award with over 400 hours of community service.

Mississippi – Hannah Chisolm

Hannah is 17 and hails from Collinsville.

Hannah is a barrel racer and competes in rodeos, barrel runs, and horse shows since she was just 3. She is also a member of the Red Hills Horse Show Association.

Hannah hopes to receive a registered nursing degree.

Pennsylvania – Lauren Weaver

Lauren is a junior at Bishop McCort Catholic High School, where she’s a member of the National Honors Society, the Cross Country Team, and Speech League.

Hawaii – Lauren Teruya

Lauren Teruya is the sister of Miss Hawaii Teen 2012 Kathryn Teruya. She’s a senior at Iolani School and is active in the school’s theater society.

Florida – Victoria DiSorbo

Victoria, 18, is studying Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations at Lynn University, where she is a mmember of Sigma Sigma Sigma.

A friend of Victoria’s passed away from cystic fibrosis, so she hopes to use her title to expand awareness of the disease, and to raise funds for cystic fibrosis research.

Oklahoma – Baylee Ogle

Baylee is a Citizen Band Potawatomi Indian and resident of Norman, Oklahoma. She is pursuing her degree in Pre-Med from the University of Oklahoma.

Baylee was a competitive dancer for a number of years, but a shattered kneecap forced her to undergo reconstructive surgery.

Baylee’s late father, Eddie, battled ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and she hopes to use her title to raise awareness for handicap accessibility.

Texas – Kirby Lindley

Kirby, 18, has a passionate for helping young children and is a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, Reach Unlimited, Harvest Bible Church, and Buckner International. She is also a member of Campus Outreach, Save the Orphans Club, and the National Honor Society.
