Shannon Beador Opens Up About Weight Gain on ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’

On this season of Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador opens up about putting on 40 pounds and she says that she’s embarrassed of her weight gain. She also says that her stressful relationship with former friend Vicki Gunvalson is one of the reason’s for her weight gain. On the show last year, Gunvalson stated that Beador’s husband David beats her, but Beador said those accusations were completely false. As a result, Beador told the cameras:

That stress caused me to eat more, caused me to drink more, and that’s a huge part of why I gained my weight. My weight gain has affected me and how I feel about myself … I’m embarrassed about my body … I ate and I drank and I was such a mess.

And when these rumors were brought up about Beador’s husband, Beador stated:

I had no idea it was going to be on the show. Are they going to use it? Are people going to believe her?

On her new journey to losing weight, Beador opened up to Life & Style, saying that she’s exercising at least 30 minutes every day and she has a diet that is based on protein and vegetables. Currently, Beador says she’s down eight pounds and four percent body fat so far.

As for what Vicki Gunvalson has to say about Beador’s blaming her for her weight issues, she says it’s “ridiculous”, according to Celebrity Insider. A source told Celebrity Insider that:

Vicki is telling friends that the fact that Shannon has been blaming her for getting fat is the most ridiculous thing that she’s ever heard. Vicki told Shannon she’s only fat because she over-eats … Vicki basically does not care about Shannon at all anymore and she lost all respect for her when she stayed with David after he cheated on her. Shannon keeps trying to pretend like her life is okay but everyone around her can see that she is completely falling apart.

Neither Beador, nor Gunvalson have recently commented on their longtime feud.
