Buzzfeed caught the world off guard on Monday when they published a piece on R. Kelly. They claimed that the singer was running a “sex cult” in his home in Georgia, where he controlled and abused young women. The most prominent witnesses in the piece were parents who have been identified as Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage.

Buzzfeed reports that they haven’t seen their daughter Jocelyn Savage since December 2016, where they said she was acting strange: “It was as if she was brainwashed. [She] looked like a prisoner — it was horrible,” her mother said. “I hugged her and hugged her. But she just kept saying she’s in love and [Kelly] is the one who cares for her. I don’t know what to do.”

Jocelyn broke her silence on Monday night, speaking with TMZ about her current living conditions and relationship with Kelly. “I am in a happy place with my life, and I’m not being brainwashed or anything like that,” she said, “It definitely has gotten out of hand, so I just want everybody to know that I am totally fine and I’m happy where I’m at.”

Jocelyn, 21, also said that she’s “Never been held hostage or anything like that” and that she hasn’t spoken to her parents in about five or six months on her own accord. “I haven’t really wanted to speak to them because of what they’re doing,” she explains. Towards the end of the video, Jocelyn is asked about where she is currently, be she states that she doesn’t care to speak on her location.

Jocelyn’s parents, in the meantime, held a press conference on Monday evening, saying that they must rescue not only their own daughter, but all the other girls that are currently staying with Kelly. At the 5:30 mark, her father can he heard saying that he believes Jocelyn is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

When asked about the lack of proof he has in bringing these allegations against Kelly, Timothy Savage claims that evidence will be coming out “in the next two to three days.” Watch the full press conference above.

This isn’t the first time Savage has spoken out against R. Kelly. In a video posted on December 26th, 2016, he challenges the famous singer outright. “You should come and see me,” he says, “You know who you have at your house: my daughter.” Savage goes on to compare Kelly’s legal missteps to that of Bill Cosby, saying “This kinda reminds me of a Bill Cosby, Eddie Long situation, you’re just like a pig that doesn’t fly straight.”

I”m willing to meet you anywhere, anytime,” he adds, “To discuss this problem… What you’re doing to women period is not fair to them. Let’s let the fans know what really going on.” Watch the full video below.
